Tribal Climate Workshop hosted by CSKT & GPTWA

The Tribal Climate Workshop was a wonderful success, bringing together over 60 participants from approximately 15 tribal nations, along with representatives from tribal organizations, federal partners, and community members. This diverse gathering allowed tribal experts and community members to share invaluable insights on tribal climate resilience and sustainability. Key highlights included discussions on buffalo reintroduction, land management, water resources, and the intersection of human health and food sovereignty. A compelling panel featuring elders and youth fostered intergenerational dialogue and cultural exchange.

This workshop was organized and hosted by the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes and the Great Plains Tribal Water Alliance.
